New System’s Administrator/Engineer Script

A few months ago I started looking for a new job. I wasn’t excited to start over again, but I wanted more challenges and technologies to work on. I remember starting my first few technology jobs, and thinking how difficult it was to find documentation for the servers and networks–I was even left to figure everything out while my immediate supervisors went on vacation.

With these terrific experiences in mind, I decided to write a script to give me immediate insights into the basics of the server environment: Primary Domain Controller (and IP address), Mail server, Domain name, etc. I posted the script on my GitHub. Please feel free to use this for your own needs. I left instructions and requirements under the readme doc as well. If anyone has any improvements or suggestions, let me know.
